Welcome to Khandie Woo, where eccentric eyewear and vibrant accessories take center stage. Our brand, rooted in the vibrant cultures of Trinidad and Grenada WI and brought to life in Brooklyn, New York, is dedicated to crafting one-of-a-kind pieces that defy convention.

 

But the story behind Khandie Woo is much deeper. Growing up, I faced bullying that left me feeling isolated and misunderstood. The hurtful experiences I endured fueled my creativity, pushing me to find solace and expression through art. What began as a personal journey of self-acceptance and healing soon evolved into a mission: to empower others to embrace their uniqueness and stand tall in their individuality.

 

Khandie Woo didn’t start in a high-end gallery or an art studio. It began in the humble setting of a Brooklyn basement, where I turned pain into passion. Using recycled materials sourced both locally and abroad, I began creating accessories that were unlike anything seen before—bold, daring, and unapologetically different.

 

From those humble beginnings, Khandie Woo has come a long way. Our brand has graced popup shops and boutiques on consignment, reflecting over a decade of passion, hard work, and unwavering authenticity in the Art and Fashion industry.

 

In 2022, I fulfilled a long-held dream: to create glasses that preserve the Khandie Woo essence while accommodating prescription lenses. This dream materialized into our first collection of limited edition Cat Eye glasses, named 'LANDRA' after my daughter, a constant source of inspiration.

 

Each Khandie Woo frame is a lensless masterpiece, designed to make a bold fashion statement. Crafted by hand, these non-prescription eyewear pieces are adorned with African print fabric using the decoupage technique, then finished with a high-quality gloss. They embody resilience, creativity, and the beauty of standing out.

 

Our new Computer glasses frames feature premium acetate material, gold-tone stainless steel temple arms, and acetate tips, merging style with function for the modern individual.
